From what I understand, the Portland Wheelmen met with the City Council of Corbett about this issue and I also understood that they know who it is and that they got that guy to stop doing it. It's obviously come up again though. You might contact the City Council of Corbett in a nice and professional manner about it though.

Would it be somewhat useful to contact the city/county about this? Isn't it malicious mischief or something of a crime? I saw tons of tacks on the road last year at the Larch TT. . I have this feeling it is adults and not kids. How immature.

Today I was riding the historic highway out to crown point. On the stretch Between Springdale and Corbet I picked up three thumb tacks in my front tire. I chanced my tube once, but ended up riding home with one tack in. I also passed another rider who had piched up a tack. I think this may be a repeat of the tack distribution that we encountered at the Larch Mtn. TT last summer, Be careful if you ride out there, and take at least two spare tubes, or a bunch of patches. Enjoy the weather.
Andrew
