Subject: [OBRA Chat] wtb: 48cm road frame

Hello there OBRA land,

I am looking for a used frame to replace my girlfriend's Lemond. Her 4-5

year old bike measured out at about 47-48ish c-c seat tube and about

50cm-ish c-c for the top tube. It fit her pretty good.

Kind of a weird mechanical... She mentioned to me that her bottom

bracket felt loose. I inspected it to discover that the person who built

her bike several years ago had failed to install the left side cup to

her bottom bracket. It had actually held up fine all this time using the

drive side threads only! ... until she crashed the other day and the

remaining threads broke free. Unfortunately I cannot warranty the frame

as it was a prototype one-off frame and a gift from a former trek

employee.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Looking in the $200-$250 range

if possible. Aluminum preferred. Thanks!
