Make sure you look for the dishwasher safe symbol first. Mine took on the

shape of a WWI army helmet. Felt funny riding with it. I could probably

sell it to a skate boarder.

I remove the pads, tie them in a sock, run them through the

laundry, and

 let them air dry.

You can also place a sheet of Bounce in your helmet

inbetween uses...

Bounce is effective on most every odor.

-------------- Original message --------------

Why didn't you just remove the pads and wash them with

dishwashing

   detergent?

At the risk of posting something cycling related

I was riding yesterday, and at first I thought, wow do

I stink today,

  was

it all the wine from that wedding on saturday? Maybe all the

asparagus? But

then I realized that it has become that time of year

where my helmet

  stinks

very very badly, so badly that I can smell it while riding.

I showered with it yesterday (yes I wore in from ride

to shower!) and

  it

  got a little better.

Any thoughts or experiences (or shower helmet photos?)

Thanks

I loaned my helmet to Brad Ross last week.

I may have to burn it!

You can also place a sheet of Bounce in your helmet inbetween uses...

Bounce is effective on most every odor.

-------------- Original message --------------

Why didn't you just remove the pads and wash them with dishwashing

detergent?

At the risk of posting something cycling related

I was riding yesterday, and at first I thought, wow do I stink today,

was

it all the wine from that wedding on saturday? Maybe all the

asparagus?

  But

then I realized that it has become that time of year where my helmet

stinks

very very badly, so badly that I can smell it while riding.

I showered with it yesterday (yes I wore in from ride to shower!) and

it

  got a little better.

Any thoughts or experiences (or shower helmet photos?)

Thanks
