I can quickly reply to this message and let Kevin Thompson the 'real
race
promoter' give the official answer.
According to the last time I spoke with him on the phone (Yesterday) the
laps are going to be a bit longer than last year. Last year the trail
went
down a steep loose shale section towards the top of the loop. To keep
trail
erosion down the race route will not be going down this section. The
reroute
makes the loop a bit longer and I believe a bit more climbing.
You can see the official flyer here.

Elites/pro do 7 laps.
The trail will be set up for a pre ride on Friday.
Kevin has done a good job rounding up prizes from both Randy the series
promoter and Bill at Cyclepath. You will see me handing out the awards
and
rounding up people for the start. Don't forget this is a double points
race
as it is the Series Championship. Check the flyer for your start time.
Beginners and Sport start in the morning. Experts/Elites/Pros start in
the
afternoon

Hello,
I didn't do this mtb race last year. When looking at the '03 results,
I'm curious if the lap count per category was the same as this coming
weekend (7 laps for pro/elite). Also, are the laps on the same terrain?
Just curious how long it takes per lap roughly for the pro/elite riders.
Keep the rubber side down.
Chris
