I would recommend getting a hitch mount rack. I own 3 different ones, a
Backpacker, which is two rails behind the rear bumper, fits the bike
with the front wheel removed, a Draftmaster, bikes ride perpendicular to
the rear of the vehicle, and an Allen rack, bikes hang from the top
tube, wheels and all.
Upside: bikes are off the roof, more aero, less chance of "carporting"
them and the rear racks come off in a snap.
Downside: bikes can get real dirty when it's wet, off chance of getting
rear-ended, have to get a receiver hitch for the car, which shouldn't
cost too much for an Accord. My receiver cost more than what I paid for
the racks, but only one company makes a receiver for an Audi A4.
The Draftmaster works well but is very big and not very aero on a small
car. Works better on a big vehicle. The Backpacker is very light, easy
to mount and the bikes are well separated. The Allen rack is convenient
since you don't have to remove wheels, but if you have more than two
bikes on it (mine holds 3) you have to come up with some way to keep the
bikes apart from each other, lest you like knicks and wear marks from
rubbing.
