Helmet cleaning Part 2

So again at the risk of talking about bike stuff again.



Last week I asked how best to clean my helmet.

Best two answers were top shelf of dishwasher and soak it (some said with a little bleach).

So seeing as I just bought a new dishwasher and didn't want to find out the hard way that this was a bad idea, I decided to try soaking.



Saturday I rode to the Clackamas river to meet some friends. I took a few rocks and put my helmet in the river (i tied it down so it couldn't float down stream) a few hours later I took it out, let it dry a little, and put it back in for a 2nd soak.



Total soaking time about 4 hours. Let it dry overnight. Seems to not be stinky anymore.



So that's my helmet cleaning stroy so far!
