RE: Redline Cyclocross Bike for Sale

Jonathan Puskas

2000-11-27

For Sale:

52cm 2000 Redline Conquest Frameset (Green, bought in

August and ridden less than 500 miles).

Chris King Threadless Headset

TTT Bars

Campy Chorus 8-speed Ergo Levers

Campy Chorus 8-speed derailleurs

Campy Record Bottom Bracket

Avid Cantilevers

Campy Chorus Crankset

Sun Rim laced to XT front Hub

Mavic MA40 Rim laced to XT rear Hub

12-28 XTR Cogset with campy spacing (shifts very well)

This bike is in awesome condition and was raced 7

times(Cross Crusade Series and State Championships).

It has been ridden an additional 400 miles in training

on the road. I normally ride a 55c-t Colnago on the

road and this bike fits awesome (so don't be

intimidated by the size). I'm selling it because I

temporarily lost my senses and recently purchased Jon

Walpole's old Colnago Cross frame...I can't

afford/don't need 2 cyclocross bikes in my garage.

$1050 OBO. I will also consider selling only the

frame/fork/headset/stem.

Take care,

Jonathan C. Puskas

It is a bit odd to complain about excessive posting

by posting a message

with 27 attachments. Personally I just use the

delete button to deal with

all the messages that I don't want to read. There

are currently no rules

for posting other then that you have to be a list

member to post. Only OBRA

members can be list members. The postings are

unmoderated because the job

of moderating them was another thing added on top of

what Candi already does

for OBRA. Originally she had planned to have 2

lists, one open to all posts

like the current list, and one moderated to only

contain race results and

announcements. There were complaints about that

system, people felt they

either got too many messages or too few. In addition

it still required time

to moderate.

If there are going to be more rules about use of the

OBRA list then either

someone will need to step forward to volunteer to be

the list moderator or

the rules will need to be self enforced. Personally

I vote for just hitting

delete.

I am wondering what the rules are for email posting.

It appears that some

people are using our OBRA Chat forum for commercial

purposes. Attached are

several of Mr. John Lackeys excessive (in my humble

opinion) emails since

October 3, 2000. I think we got the picture that the

Raleigh 3 speeds are

for sale on the first post, why are they posted 3

times? Everyone please

post your thoughts on how often it is appropriate

for an individual to post

sale items on OBRA Chat. I am thinking an average of

once a week (max) is

good rule.

What do you think?
