Not sure, but I think I may have been the only one that went down.
Luckily I ran up onto Tim Schauer's back and
lost quite a bit of speed before the inevitable tumble onto the tarmac.
Thanks for helping me to slow down Tim!
Front tire got mangled somehow and flatted prior to or during my
sideways launch. Landed hard on my hip and shoulder and head (probably
in that order). Got some nice road rash but it's not very deep thanks
to landing on areas where my skin was covered (no sleeveless jerseys
for me!). Landed on the back of my helmet and cracked it in several
places. Today I'm feeling rather stiff with my shoulder and nearby
ribs feeling the worst. Apparently my 1977 model "reinforced"
collarbone was up to the task. The last time I hit the pavement in a
race was in 1979 and it hasn't gotten any softer, go figure.
Not a bad outcome considering how fast we were going when it happened.
Thanks to all who stopped to check on me. Candi must've hurdled the
concrete barriers to get there so fast ;)
I should be back in a week or so.

How are the riders that went down Monday night due to the dog running
out
onto the track? When it came my turn to almost hit the dog, it would
appear that the dog was okay (we were doing about 28mph when it
happened).
