Most clavicle fractures require very little treatment and will heal well.
There are exceptions, of course, but the vast majority do well.
Uncomplicated clavicle fractures should be in the range of things that could
be managed by general practice doctors, although many are not doing that
currently. If money is a concern, as it appears it is, I would suggest
investigating GPs first. I assume that you were seen initially in an ED.
Probably the best option would be to follow up where they referred you. If

Howdy Folks,
On an otherwise spectacular Sunday mountain bike ride I joined club
collarbone, so I'm looking for a cyclist-friendly Orthopedic Physician
in Portland. I'm hoping to find suggestions for less expensive options
because unfortunately the health insurance for my new job does not kick
in for another month. No fun.
I know there is a lot of experience with fractured collar bones out
there in OBRA land, so I'd love to hear any and all suggestions.
