Tara (USCF),
Can you tell me what the plan is for Master Track
Nationals? A bit of a USCF memo dated late November
2000 announced that Redmond, Washington would host
Master Track Nats following Road Nationals in Spokane.
The folks running the track program in Redmond have no
agreement to run the event. Even more distressing it
sounds like the USCF will not fund master nationals at
all.
You have been sent a number of "off list" emails and
if you have responded I have not been copied.
From talking with more than a few master's there is a
strong movement to hold our own nationals - promote
the event, keep the entry fees (that colorado springs
kept in the past), and have no USCF license
requirement.
We would prefer to have the USCF step up and take note
of the largest portion of the racing-licensed
membership but if you we are a capable group that's
growing increasingly discouraged by the lack of
attention and reprentation from the USCF.
