I've been told simple single speed bikes with average brakes are good enough. The surface is dusty so wider tires like a bmx or mtb might be good I've been told.

and wants a real cheap, some what functional bicycle to pedal around on. This bike will most likely get 10 miles max put on it
over the course of a week. She is 5' 1" but wears platform shoes all the time so her standover height will be 5' 4" hehehe
Her budget is $20 - 40.00
Anyone have a junk bike in the basement or hanging on a wall that they want to be rid of?
