This is an excellent point. The OBRA mountain bike rules need to be
modified so that the reflect current practice in mountain bike racing.
Someone who actually knows about this stuff needs to step up to propose
those changes. If that sounds like something for you and you need info

I know it is kind of late to bring this up (randy's allready up there) but
i have been wondering about the rules for this race. there are no rules for
twelve or 24 hour racing in the obra site. so do we follow normal xc rules
or the AMTRI rules that are used all major 12 and 24 hour races. the rules
are very different. AMTRI rules allow complete bike swaps and canibalism(at
your pit-stop area), food and water support anywhere on the course, and a
number of other issues that are not even addressed in general xc rules. Any
thoughts?
