Well, I'm getting this on my race bike for one thing and it's primarily a

dry conditions bike except for the inevitable wet races. I use FinishLine

Teflon Plus for lube and I clean the chain after around 3 to 4 lubings, as

it takes that long to start getting some build up.



It's a whole different story for the rain bike. I get shorter life spans on

that.

I realize this is a bit off topic for the current threads, but, I was

wondering what kind of life you are getting out there for your shimano 10

speed chains and cassetts. I can get 3000-4000 miles out of my current 9

speed set up for a chain, and I haven't worn out a dura ace 9 speed cassette

in quite some time. I had heard that you could only get around 1000-1500

miles out of those new 10 speed chains. I'm not sure about the cassettes.
