Great idea! I also often pick-up unbroken bottles and non biodegradeable
trash. There's usually a trash can close by.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Paradise lost on bicycle freeway
I've been riding the Eastside Esplanade for a while now and it is truly a
bicycle freeway down in the Oak's Bottom area. This path has been pristine
ever since it's been put in place in terms of no glass breakage. Recently,
however, it seems that the glass breakers have managed to find their way
down there and I've swept up two incidents with the little whisk broom I
carry with me in my backpack when I commute. It just broke my heart to see
that first glass incident down there and swept it up immediately. This
morning there was another one and I got rid of it just as quickly.
I wonder if it's worth the effort to try and get other commuters in the OBRA
community to perhaps carry a whisk broom in their packs when they commute
for the same purpose. It only took me a couple of minutes to sweep this
mornings' incident to the side of the path.
