Subject: 2001 USCF Masters Track National Championships-agreement reached

On Wednesday, December 13th, Agreement was reached with the USCF that the

above National Championships will be held at the Marymoor Velodrome in

Redmond, Washington. An official announcement should follow soon by the

USCF.

The event dates will also be announced, but unofficially, the event will

start with registration of Friday, July 13th and conclude on Wednesday, July

18th.. This will allow one travel day for those intending to compete in the

Masters Road Championships which are set to be held in Spokane. Further

details

will be forthcoming from the USCF as determined.

This agreement was reached after extensive discussions and negotiations with

Evan Call and Tara Morris of the USCF that covered, not only this event, but

future plans of the USCF to improve masters racing and allow for a greater

degree of rider feedback. I believe these plans as well as the addition of

Steve Johnson to the USCF management structure bode well for masters

cyclists.

The USCF is operating within very tight budget constraints this year, but I

am confident that the quality of our national championships will be as high

as ever, if not better. Also, if you could forward this email to all who

might be interested, this will help get the word out. We are looking forward

to seeing all of you in Seattle next year and you can leave your umbrellas

home as this timing in July is perfect for track cycling!

Regards and Happy Holidays to All,

Stan Gregg

Chairman Marymoor Nationals Committee
