<b>Instructional Designer</b><br>
Location: Beaverton, OR <br>
<br>
Responsibilities for this position include:<br>
- Design and create technical documents and media for internal and
external audiences<br>
- Provide professional delivery of educational courses on-site and
in-house for customers and employees<br>
- Assist in filtering of technical documents to design and create
educational documents<br>
- Responsible for the technical integrity of educational curriculum for
all documents and courses designed<br>

Assist in helping manage customer expectations as they relate to
documents, educational services, schedules and product capabilities<br>

Remain updated on product issues received from Technical Support, Field
Services, Web Services and be responsible for incorporating that
information into docs, media and educational materials<br>
- Evaluate the effectiveness of course content and make the necessary
adjustments to existing materials and delivery method<br>
- During on-site customer visits, report any issues, resolution and
follow up information to Management<br>
- Demonstrate products as requested<br>

Experience and education:<br>
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience<br>
- Three or more years related experience<br>
<br>
Required knowledge/skills:<br>
-
Ability to create technical documents and courseware for software and
hardware applications using various methods of delivery (pdfs, ppt,
mpeg, wmf, html)<br>
- Ability to develop educational curriculum and materials for blended,
e-learning and web conference delivery methods<br>
- Computer networking, UNIX, telnet and Sun installation, Windows XP,
MS Office Suite <br>

Cable or telecomm industry experience with knowledge of SA or Motorola
headend components and networking, VOD Services, MPEG compression<br>
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced development environment
creating technical documents and courseware<br>

Desired knowledge/skills:<br>
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and
be self motivated<br>
- Ability to travel within the US as well as internationally if needed<br>
- Conceptual thinker, team player, excellent communication skills with
clients and coworkers<br>
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic <br>
- Exceptional writing skills <br>
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities and aggressive
deadlines<br>
