I would agree. Cook his arse as done as you can. A guy that like is going to
kill someone if he's not made accountable.
A bus almost took me out the other day and I can tell you this, I got the
bus number, the intersection, time of day and reported it to Tri-met. I know
what information to get from previous infractions from bus drivers. I report
it and make sure that it's followed-up on. I don't know if they are telling
the truth of not but they say they take these things very seriously. My last
incident was different than yours but you should definitely follow this up.

I do not disagree about safety being paramount, but we must follow up with
enforcement agencies. If the first officer tells you, "no contact, no crime"
go up the food chain.
When I was 22 or so a guy did something similar to me. He was finally cited
and went to trial, he was convicted. Now the penalty was minor, but it adds
up. The next time he is an idiot the penalty gets larger.

Next time a car is on your rear wheel, I would be less concerned with
your rights and more concerned with letting the person get by. I agree
you have every right to be in that lane, but if someone in a car does
not want you there...move. No one likes a bully but I know I have
learned that no matter where I am, if I can avoid a conflict with a
bully, I will. I find it FAR easier to step aside and give way than to
proclaim my rights from the hole in the wall my head just got put
into.... or from the ditch I just landed in with a broken head or broken
bike.
Send him a post card?? Based on your description of his behavior I doubt
this guy is going to lose too much sleep over that. These are not the
people we are going to win o! ver in the great biker PR campaign and law
enforcement, though obligated, has shown little interest in reacting to
this type of reckless endangerment.
Please be most concerned with getting back home without incident.
Pissing off a driver while on a bike is like bringing a knife to a gun
fight...your gonna loose no matter if you are right or wrong.
