Subject: [OBRA Chat] Hit and Run in Washington County

            OBRA,

On Wednesday morning Sept. 29th a Cyclist was hit by a little white truck in the morning around 6:30 - 7:00am. The rider sustained some injuries but was able to flag down a passing motorist for help. The rider's bicycle was drug by the truck and later discarded. The bicycle was totaled when the rider later found it. This incident has been reported to the Washington County Sheriff Dept. Incident # 04385078 and passed to the Hillsboro Police Dept to Officer Kevin Duggan under case #04809246. Currently no action is being taken by the Police Dept. I talked to them today and have urged them to get this information out to the media. The vehicle most likely has damage to it and the person could be bragging to friends. The rider was not able to describe the driver.

If you ride in Washington County keep your eyes open for a small white truck with any type of damage and report it to the police. The Hillsboro police dept # is 503-681-6175. You can also call and urge them to take action on this case. Unless they hear from concerned citizens I suspect not much action will happen.

            Thanks Pam

That is interesting since the road is wide with bike lanes and a traffic

light. It seems like a fairly safe area.

a little white truck in the morning around 6:30 - 7:00am. The rider

sustained some injuries but was able to flag down a passing motorist for

help. The rider's bicycle was drug by the truck and later discarded.

The bicycle was totaled when the rider later found it. This incident has

been reported to the Washington County Sheriff Dept. Incident # 04385078

and passed to the Hillsboro Police Dept to Officer Kevin Duggan under

case #04809246. Currently no action is being taken by the Police Dept.

I talked to them today and have urged them to get this information out

to the media. The vehicle most likely has damage to it and the person

could be bragging to friends. The rider was not able to describe the

driver.

If you ride in Washington County keep your eyes open

for a small white truck with any type of damage and report it to the

police. The Hillsboro police dept # is 503-681-6175. You can also call

and urge them to take action on this case. Unless they hear from

concerned citizens I suspect not much action will happen.

            Thanks Pam

            OBRA,

On Wednesday morning Sept. 29th a Cyclist was hit by a

little white truck in the morning around 6:30 - 7:00am. The rider

sustained some injuries but was able to flag down a passing motorist for

The rider was not able to describe the

driver.

If you ride in Washington County keep your eyes open for a

small white truck with any type of damage and report it to the police.

The Hillsboro police dept # is 503-681-6175. You can also call and urge

them to take action on this case. Unless they hear from concerned

citizens I suspect not much action will happen.

            Thanks Pam

color=navy face=Arial>. The rider

sustained some injuries but was able to flag down a passing motorist for help. The

rider’s bicycle was drug by the truck and later discarded. The bicycle

was totaled when the rider later found it. This incident has been reported to

the Washington County Sheriff Dept. Incident # 04385078 and passed to the

Hillsboro Police Dept to Officer Kevin Duggan under case #04809246. Currently

no action is being taken by the Police Dept. I talked to them today and have

urged them to get this information out to the media. The vehicle most

likely has damage to it and the person could be bragging to friends. The

rider was not able to describe the driver.
