I'm planning a ride down to Eugene and back in a couple of weeks. I've
always followed the same route. Briefly, LO to Newberg to French Prairie to
Wheatland Ferry to Salem via Wallace Rd, out 22 to Independence Hwy, Buena
Vista Rd to Albany and finally thru Harrisburg to Coburg to Eugene.
Two questions:
1. Anyone have experience with Doakes Ferry Road in Salem? Looks like it
might be a nicer alternative to the Wallace Rd/ 22 leg to get out to
Independence Hwy.
2. Any other ideas to make things a bit more interesting? How about a few
legs with climbs?
