I think there may be an error in the Master A results. I remember seeing rider #527 (unnamed) lined up to start in the Cat A open category. As a Master Cat A rider I paid careful note as to who started where. Rider 527 was not wearing a typical green number, his was black, with no race markings. I thought his number was odd, being three digits and non-standard color. I figured some special circumstance must have applied...
During the race, our lead group caught the tail end of the Cat A open, and I remember this rider being one of the Cat A open riders we caught. Ultimately this rider passed me on the final lap. Again, I noted his number, black, three digits.
I could be grossly mistaken, so I would appreciate if any other Cat A's can vouch for this.
