Hello OBRA,
We are proud to announce that in 2005 the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic will be an NRC event! USA Cycling has accepted our bid and included us in the 2005 National Racing Calendar. Pro 1/2 men and pro 1/2 women categories will both qualify for national points. OBRA will continue to be the sanctioning body for the CAT 3, CAT 4, and masters men along with a new CAT 3/4 women's race. Also new this year will be a larger substantially larger prize list and some big time primes for the criterium. We want all you sprinters out here making things interesting in downtown Hood River. We will again run the weekend after Memorial Day, June 2-5, so mark your calendars.
A huge thanks needs to be paid to Jan Luke Hamasaki from USA Cycling, Bill Wykoff, and Mike and Candi Murray for their support. Plus all of you hard core riders that have come out to participate and make this race a reality. We are also pleased to announce that Full Sail Brewing has signed on for yet another year as our title sponsor along Cooper Spur Mountain Resort as Host and Discover Bicycles as our supporting sponsor. Hood River is excited to once again host this event in 2005. Check out our web site at www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com for on going updates. We look forward to seeing all of you in June!
Sincerely,
Chad Sperry
