I also agree with David, that David's assessment of
the difficulty is also correct (unless of course you
actually try to keep up with David or the PUMA guy...)
I prefer the 6:00 start time, but could do 5:45 (I
think that is what David meant - not 6:45) if that was
agreed upon. If we add 1 or 2(the horror) laps, it
might be required to start early in order to allow the
rest of the races to start on time.
Whatever Clark decides, I'll be happy with. I'm just
stoked that there is such a category at Tabor....

I think the simplest "upgrade" to the Fixed race
would be to add 1 or 2
laps. Roger sounds affirmative on that...any other
participants care to
chime in? I think the difficulty of riding
fixed-gear on Tabor might be
over-estimated, as they do climb more efficiently
than a multi-geared,
freewheeled bike...
As far as scheduling, that would only mean starting
a little earlier, say
6:45?
Fun as it seems,the Handicap format might be a bit
dicey, given the
technical finish.

Yes, the possibility exists to alter the format of
the
fixed gear race by introducing a handicap
category.
Off the top of my head perhaps there could be a
freak
category riding 5 or 6 laps followed by a human
category riding the current 3 laps, with staggered
starts.
My inclindation is to keep it simple but with the
right tweaking I think that it would possible to
get a
photo finish between Candi, Jim Lee and yourself.
(All due respect to the other fixers, but David
Auker
got at least $100 out of me last year.)
