I'm looking for some advice from all you Speedplay users in OBRAland.



I'm thinking about switching from the Looks I have used since time

immemorial, and am wondering whether to go with the X series (essentially

unlimited float) or zero series (adjustable float). I'm using Frogs on my

single speed, and like them.



I'm not thinking about this for knee issues (I have none, thank goodness),

but I do like Speedplay's double-sided entry features and lightness. I

don't want to go with Frogs on my road bikes, since I really prefer road

shoes for serious riding.



I understand that the X series cleats are repairable if a spring is broken,

but that the Zero series are not. What I don't know is if this is a big

issue (how often are springs broken??).



Any and all experience and advice gratefully accepted.
