My first choice would be Inn of the Seventh Mountain. Get a condo or suite with a deck. Access to river trail and nice forest area.
But if you wanted to be right by the race go with Ameritel Inn. Great views too.
Bend Riverside Motel is another good one(used to be, have not been there in a while). On the river and close to downtown.
All of these are kinda spendy from my perspective but maybe worth it if you want to have a special trip.
Otherwise we do have Motel 6, Comfort inn, Quality Inn, and a wonderful array of individually owned motels that have very few cases of bed bugs(lately).
