Greetings OBRA land!
Not to be out done by Half Fast Velo, EWEB Windpower has also formulated
a junior team! I was waiting for the right time to announce this but now
seems like the time to chime in. We currently have 8 juniors (13-18
years old) and welcome more. These juniors are part of the EWEB
Windpower team and will be coached by Matt Martel.
EWEB Windpower is made up of racers from Eugene, Corvallis, and Salem.
The junior team is focused in Corvallis. This is where we will train and
develop the next Lance Armstrong! :) I am very excited about this
endeavor. I am pleased to hear other teams are making an effort to do
the same.
Congratulations to Half Fast Velo for developing their new junior racing
team, Forza Jet Velo!

Hi,
I am pleased to announce the formation of a new junior team to the
Oregon peleton: Forza Jet Velo. This will be the junior team of Half
Fast Velo and will focus on kids from 10-18 who want to have fun on a
bike and may even want to race. This will be a junior team that
tolerates adults and not an adult team that tolerates juniors!
We will be primarily focused on having fun on a bike. Of course we
will have supported training rides, track sessions, and the chance to
race if the junior desires to participate. Our kit will be made by AMG
in Portland and further supported by Cycle Path, Paley Bar, and Half
Fast Velo.
We are currently seeking new juniors to fill out our roster. (Team size
will be from 10-15 juniors, 8 spots are currently filled) If you think
you might know a junior, new to the Oregon peleton, that would fit in
with our team please send me an email or call and we can discuss our
plans.
