Hey two-wheelers,

I have a question for anybody who can offer me input or suggestion...

I am have been thinking about it for awhile and am just getting around to it.

I hve been kicking around the idea to do something where I can either solicit pledges from people or organize a ride (ala Reach the beach, but probably a smaller scale)for the benefit of a local school or children's charity or something. The pledges would be for all miles I ride during the year (getting pledges from folks to say they would give XX number of cents per mile ridden during the year).

My questions are:

1) Does anybody know about the legal ramifications of an idea like this?

2) Is it even a realistic thought?

3) Is anybody interested in participating with me on it?

My motivation is that I am insane-nutso-fanatical about pedaling my bike at any and all opportunities I can get and I thought if I could somehow incorporate a little philanthropy in there, it would be even better!

Any input would be much appreciated thanks for your help. I'm just trying to brainstorm here and get the ball rolling.
