I travel by bike or car passing through the sacred training grounds between
skyline and 30 often, and have always heard the complaints of my four
wheeled friends. In the name of objectivity I patiently listen to them rant
about cyclists and the hazard they create for drivers descending these
narrow winding and steep corridors. Don't shoot the messenger but they have
a point . I personally witnessed many fellow obraites training this week and
came to this conclusions. I love to ride group and in pairs enjoying the
repartee of being able to have dialogue while training or just out for the
sites. But listening for approaching traffic and merging or yielding
accordingly is not only good road courtesy it will save your life. So climb,
enjoy the beauty of these landmark trails, just keep in mind until the US is
ready for a car free society finding harmony between cyclist and a multi ton
potential weapon is critical BE SAFE OUT THERE. PS KEEP IN MIND THIS ADVICE
