I'd concur. Being an every day bike commuter for years, I've had plenty of close enounters, especially downtown. I probably see a red light run in a busy intersction about once every other week. It's kind of scary.

Just a quick reminder for any of you who don't already do this. Even though you may be cruising down the street
and about to roll through an intersection with the green light be sure you take a peek left and right. I figured out that
this was a good idea when I started to ride a bike again about 5 years ago and today I knew why I always did this.
This morning as I was rolling down N Vancouver and was just about to enter an intersection with the green light my way when a car
just rolled through the red from my right. Good thing I was paying attention and not going too fast and was able to lock up the brakes
and stop in enough time.
I think they missed their morning coffee!
Good thing I was awake!
Be careful out there! :)
