Good Morning OBRA!

I wanted to let all of you know that we are in full swing planning this years event. Thanks again to Full Sail Brewing the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic is back in 2005 bigger and better than ever. In fact Full Sail is so excited about cycling in the Northwest that they have signed on for the next three years as the title sponsor. Be sure and let them know how much we appreciate their support! This year we have a number of new exciting things in the works. Here is a preview of just some of the things that are awaiting you in 2005.

* Mt. Hood Cycling Classic is now an NRC event offering points to both men's and women's pro 1-2 categories.

* Shimano will be sending in their neutral support team to service the race! Thanks Shimano!

* The overall prize list has been increased to over $20,000 in cash! Plus additional merchandise prizes! See our new web site for breakdowns.

* A new women's 3/4 category will debut this year. Yes that's right ladies were seperating you!

* New kinder friendlier crit course will debut (sorry) allowing riders smoother faster laps while maximizing crowd participation and excitement. Be ready for a rowdy Saturday night!

* Nearly $2000 dollars in crit primes.

A reminder as you start planning for this year's event. Do not delay in making lodging arrangements. Lodging goes fast in Hood River and if you don't book early you will have a difficult time finding accoumodations. For a third year in a row Cooper Spur Mountain Resort and Best Western Hood River Inn have given us tremendous support so give them a call for rooms. You can find all the info you need on the lodging section of the MHCC website. Be sure and tell them you are in for the race in order to get rooms as both have blocked out space just for us. In addition register early if you are racing in the men's categories. Judging from early registrations we are looking to have full categories by the time May roles around. If you snooze you loose as we can only take 100 riders per category.

Finally our new web site is up and running. Check it out at www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com   All new info for this year's race has been updated along with links for lodging, registration, and more. Good luck this spring to all of you and I hope to see you in June!

Sincerely,

Chad Sperry
