8 and 9 speed, HG compatible, steel wheel body QRM MAVIC quality bearings,

These rims use Mavic's UST tubeless system. Tubeless wheels are lighter,

weighing far less than the traditional wheel, rim, tape, tube and tire. It

also means that tire pressure is easier to adjust, which means that you are

more able to tune it to the terrain which you're riding on. There is also

the benefits of fewer flats, especially those due to shock, deteriorated rim

tape or punctures. The rim is made from Maxtal, an alloy specific to Mavic,

which is 30% stronger than 6106. SUP welding uses arc welding instead of

ordinary sleeve joints to create added strength. It also has the advantage

of creating no visible joints which could cause shuddering when braking. UB

Control is a process which digitally mills the sidewalls of the rim after

anodization. This increases the friction between the rim and brake block to

lead to more efficient braking. Mavic QRM hubs are used which have sealed

cartridge bearings for a smooth running as well as keeping out the muck for

durability.
