Hi OBRA,
In 2003, just after completing a 3400 mile bike across America trip, my
friend Preston Hunt was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease (cancer).
After 5 months of treatment, his cancer is in remission. This whole
experience prompted his mother to start biking and undertake the
tremendous task of riding across the country herself to raise money for
the Lance Armstrong Foundation (Peleton Project). A year ago she was
occasionally riding a $59 Walmart bike...needless to say she has come a
long way and is a determined woman (she has since upgraded to a Trek
road bike). Her trip is totally self funded and all donations will be
going directly to LAF. Feel free to click on the link below if you
