Hi OBRA,



Anyone out there familiar w/ overhauling these Speedplay pedals? These

are the old version before they came out w/ the adjustable float ones.



I'm following the instructions with the desire to pump some grease

into the grease port. I have two pair of these pedals:



Pair #1: (silver stainless spindle) has a little plastic end cap,

which I'm assuming is the X-2 model. I'm assuming I pry that cap away

and pump in grease? 2001 model.



Pair #2: (black cromo spindle) has a little phillips screw, which I'm

told is the grease port cap. I'm supposed to unscrew it to reveal a

port to pump grease into. I try to unscrew this and it just freely

spins?!? I think this pedal is X-3. 2002-2003 model.



Anyone have any tips? I've used both of these pedals for a few years

and never touched them. One of the 4 pedals makes a dry noise when it

spins.
