MAVERICKS presents the
COMPUTRAINER WORLDWIDE INDOOR 10K TIME TRIALS
Ride in the COMPUTRAINER WORLDWIDE INDOOR 10K TIME TRIAL and compete
with cyclists from around the world.
The 10 kilometer race features a rolling terrain with grades to 3%.
Riders race their own bikes on multiple laboratory matched CompuTrainers
and feel exactly the same loads they would feel on the road at the same
speed, grade and gear. The CompuTrainer is considered the world?s most
sophisticated computerized cycle training system, and is used
extensively by professional racers and amateur cyclists worldwide.
Mavericks has available both the 3D and the Multi-Rider versions for
riding, training and racing and has the only Multi-Rider system in
Oregon.
The CompuTrainer Indoor Time Trial event is being held at 52 locations
around the world this March by RacerMate, Inc., the Seattle manufacturer
of the electronic bicycle trainer. In an indoor time trial the riders
line up side by side facing a video screen showing the course profile,
each rider's position on the course, and each rider's race data
including distance, elapsed time, and instantaneous/ average/ peak speed
and power. At the end of the race the riders receive printouts of the
race data. Race results from all the events will be merged and posted
on the "RacerMate On-line Performance Ranking" website so that the
participants will know where they stand in the comparison to all the
other racers around the world. More information is at

Whether you're a rank beginner or a seasoned racer you'll be matched
with other riders of similar ability to make it a fair competition. If
you've never raced a bike, this is a good opportunity to see what it's
like. If you are a bike racer it will be excellent indicator of your
end-of-winter fitness level. It begins at 9:00 AM, March 26th and
