The Co-Motion Northwest Time Trial Series (formerly Built for Speed)
The series gets underway this Saturday March 19.
Prize scheme works like this - we have 5 races this year. March 19, April
23, June 18, July 16 & August 20. Monthly prizes are back - yes you can
expect chocolate bunnies this Saturday but a lot more goodies as well.
Points will be awarded in each division as such First (16 pts), second (13
pts), third (10), fourth (8), fifth (6), sixth (5), seventh (4), eighth (3),
ninth (2), tenth (1). The names of the A - F Divisional Series winners (yes
the winners of the age group categories in the Masters Division are each
included) will be entered into a drawing held Saturday August 20 for the
series grand prize - a Co-Motion Espresso frame-set - yup they're including
the fork as well. No race will be dropped from your total points this year
so come out and race 'em all.
Tandems - your grand prize is an entry into the Co-Motion Classic Tandem
Stage Race. As the Co-Motion Classic is held prior to the last TT, this
prize will be awarded to the tandem with the most series points after the
July 16 TT.
Recumbents - we are currently working on your series prize. We'd like to
see a great field in the 'bent division this year and are doing our best to
make this worth your while.
Terri and I are moving to Hood River at the end of this month. The Co-Motion
NWTTS will be held in Corvallis March 19 and April 23 on the Bellfountain
course we used last year. The June 18, July 16 races will be held on a 40
km loop just outside of The Dalles. The Dalles course has a later start
time, hills, flats, curves, straights and a couple of turns which will
challenge your bike handling skills. The August 20 TT will either be held
on The Dalles course or a beaut of a route on the outskirts of Hood River.
