The short course at the upcoming POC will mean that slower groups will
be overtaken and passed frequently. The procedure for this is:
The slower group slows to neutral speed upon notification by the follow
official. They should move right and ride no more then 2 abreast.
Racing will start again upon determination from the officials - this
determination is usually the distance that the slower group will not
catch the group that just passed and thus play see saw. If there is a
break off the front they will not necessarily be neutralized unless it
is a group that cannot be passed safely. A group on its finishing lap
should take precedent over one that is continuing to race. Remember
that riders from different fields are NOT allowed to ride together.
Remember more importantly to err on the side of safety.
