Following are the results of today's Co-Motion Northwest Time Trial Series

Race #3.

Perfect weather on the new 30K route made for some seriously fast racing!

A special huzzah to David Zimbelman (Excel Sports) who kicked it hard and

finished over TWO FULL MINUTES over all other racers today. (00:43:08)

Jay Freyensee (Easton/Specialized LGBRC) laid down another strong ride today

to win the 'B' Group (00:45:45) as well as jumping into the lead in points

in the 'B' Group. Tom Woodcock (Team Oregon) had a good showing today with a

third place to returning B Group dominator, Taylor McClung (Lifecycles).

Riding in his own backyard, Taylor ripped it with a 00:47:15.

Racing was fast in the Men's Masters, with each of the three top age

categories finishing within 2 minutes of each other--but special kudos go to Jeff

Layton (40-49) for his blistering time of 00:47:32. A very disappointed Chris

Alling caught a ride to the finish after flatting out, TWICE! Awesome job to

and massive handclaps to all of the Masters group big dogs. Paul

Qualtere-Burcher (EWEB WIndpower) has pulled ahead in total points in this group.

Jude Russell (Sorella Forte) took top honors in the women's group. Jude

simply flies--where does she hide those wings?

Tandem racing was high form today as well with Columbia River Velo well

represented with four tandem teams taking part in today's race. It appears that

the Cornilles/Miller tandem will be headed to the Co-Motion Classic Tandem

Race ~ as the first place tandem gets a free entry into this year's Classic.

A big thanks to all of the volunteers, without whom today would not have

been possible!!
