Here is a description of the course
. Located north of Madras between Hyw 26 and Hyw 97. It will pass
thru the town of Gateway. The parking area is located just two blocks
north of the intersection of N. Dogwood Ln and N. Adams Dr.(excelent
area with gravel next to the road) The course will be counterclockwise
starting at the corner of Dogwood. Follow Dogwood to N.E. Clark Dr. turn
north, following N.E. Clark Dr. becomes N.E. Clements Dr., N.E. Clements
becomes N.E. Gateway Ave into the town of Gateway(no services, except
hayseed, fertilizer) N.E. Gateway becomes N.E. Market St., N.E. Market
St. Becomes N.E. Juniper Ln. At N. Adams Dr. turn south and back to the
start area along N. Adams. This is a loop of 19.0 miles. Most of the
terrain is rolling, flat, with the exception of two downhills, and one
tortious uphill of 500'. Above the climb 3/4 mile of slight uphill on a
straight stretch of road (N.E. Juniper) is the proposed finish line.
This leaves the poor riders with a 7 mile cooldown back to the parking
area. It also makes the Pro1/2 107 miles.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] State RR?
Does anyone know where the State Championship Road Race is going to be
and what the course is like? Those of us in the south need to know if
it's worth our time planning for, you know sprinters allergic to hills.
