Hey Guys and Gals

Race #2 of the Oregon XC Series presented by Rivercityu Bicycles

We are at 250 for pre-reg and thanks for the support. We will have food for
about 400 so all is working out great for the river runs through it edition
of the Mudslinger.

Rolf Prima Wheel systems will be have Ralos wheels to showcase as well as
Dan Coyle will have Wooden Helmets to display

The course

Panama canal, well the Canal is in effect.....amazing! and your bike gets
clean as you ride.

First Trail, is first river trail.

All and all the ride today and reinforcing of the markings went well and my
bike was not that muddy as its pretty thin out there (The Mud) for your
Sunday Adventure.

See you Saturday for packet Pickup or Pre-reg or day of 7-9:30 for Day of
registration in the Blodgett Gym

Peak Sports gave me a ton of 20% off of everything coupons to use through
4/1 so if you need something last minute to make your race better (fender,
gloves, something warm to wear)

Looking forward to seeing all old friends and new friends for one memorable
time.

Shane Young from Oregon Velo and I bet Matt will be at the race and you all
get free Medium Res Pics to Download that capture your moment

Please drive very slow once you turn off of HWY 20 and give yourself plenty
of time to Park as the road where we park will be stretched out.....don't
stress as we will get you in, just know that if you arrive after 9am you
may want to get dressed and wear your helmet and ride to the school to
register.

REMEMBER your OBRA Card or proof of license if you registered recently
online

Thanks and drive safe

Hey,

Out there all day----drove the Yellow truck into a ditch twice---Peak Sports
came and winched the truck out of the snow bank----all is good (just
kidding) crazy driving in a white out at 6:15am in late April.
NO SNOW on the course---1500 ft and it did not stick all day except for the
6-8am time frame---the good thing today is that the hail does not make you
nearly as cold as the rain---so no excuses----maybe the pass might be
tricky----but other than that the course is sweet---Peak Sports will bring a
few extra front fenders for all the slinging and the local Fire Dept is
suppling the water after the event for bike wash.

Allow an extra 15 minutes if you are west of the cascades if its snowing in
the am----

Soup, bread and good times

Mike

Hello again and it was nice to see all you brave people at the Big K.

The course is looking great and I wanted to inform you of a few things.

1. You can still pre-register by downloading a form from OBRA.org or

online at www.orbike.com, also check for the latest at

www.mudslingerevents.com

2. I will be doing registration from 7am-9am in the gym the morning of

registration.

3. No parking at the church parking lot, a 50th wedding anniversary is

going on.

4 Please when parking along the road stay off to the side as safely as

you can and don't block any driveways. Please be nice to the residents.

I will hopefully secure a water truck for a bike wash after the race.

The school has a well that we drained in 2003, so we can't use their

limited supply.

5. I will be starting the race 1.8 miles from the school and it is not

a race down to the start line from the school after the pre race

meeting.

6. The pro/elite (semi-pro) and 19-34 experts will be starting at the

same time and same distance followed by the pro and expert women. As in

previous years if less than 5 pro women register I will combine the

classes for the cash payout. I already have 2 and I put a special new

singletrack in for Amy on the first climb after the first climb at 4.3

miles, so I hope to see Alice, Amy and Kori back for another round.

See ya soon, Mike
