Hello OBRA,
Here a couple of important updates to report. Also check out our updates section at www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com for all of the currnet info.
* Due to concerns regarding the difficulty of the final stage for the CAT 3/4 women along with the low turn out so far for registration we have decided to run a shortened final stage on Sunday for this category. The new stage will consist of 30 miles and 2600 feet of climbing instead of the full course at 75 miles and 7500 feet. We would love to see more begining women out competing in stage raceing and hopefully this will encourage more to sign up.
* We now have the new 2005 MHCC merchandise for sale. Check out all the great gear and new look for this year's event. T-shirts, posters, fleece, messanger bags (my favorite) etc can all be purchased through our online store at http://www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com/merchandise.htm
* We have finalized all of our permits and are ready to roll. This includes permitting for rolling road closures for the men's pro 1-2 race. Along with full neutral support.
* Finally we are offering travel stipends for any Pro 1-2 women's team of 5 or more riders (limited to the first five teams registered). If you are interested contact Joanie Thomsen at mhccspon-@gorge.net for more info.
Registrations are flowing in and we are looking at our best year yet. Just make sure you book early on lodging they are going super fast.
