The City of Portland has just installed stop signs on Dosch Rd at Hamilton. It is now a four-way stop. And you can believe that there will be "observers" on the scene waiting to write you up. If you are descending Dosch, I would advise that you pull to the right at this intersection so you don't get run over from behind by someone who didn't see the sign.
As an a addendum to my email about the speed limit on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy being lowered from 45 to 40 MPH, I noted that the eastbound lane coming out of Raleigh Hills still has a 45 MPH limit. The 40 MPH sign is about 120 yards further up the road and obscured by trees. Far be it from me to read anything into this beyond the inability of the City Of Portland and Multnomah County to work together, but it will be a convenient source of income for the city for a while.
