It's my favorite downhill in town. After the 2nd time descending, you pretty
much know all of the potholes. I agree with my young team mate, it is a
great downhill, I get to 45+mph easy as long as there are no cars.

Going down Burnside is a crazy business! Try staying out of traffic and
avoiding the biggest potholes in town at 35-40 mph. No thanks, not
recommended.

I ride this route all of the time and for me its real
safe and i never have cars honk at me or get in my way
at all. Heading up barnes is pretty safe and going
down burnside is super fast...so you dont have to
worry about cars hitting you becuase you would probly
hit them befor they hit you.
You could also keep going up barnes and then go down
threw the zoo/park down into portand.
How is the person that got hit. Is he ok?
