Just read bicycle retailer news to find that Steve Gravenites, Gravy,

is building custom wheels. (Gravy was the head mechanic at Schwinn/toyota,

volvo/cannondale, and yeti. He has wrenched for more national and world

champions than anyone else). Evidently you can bring him componenets

of your own (or buy them from him) and he will build you the perfect

wheel depending on your riding style, use of the wheels, size, weight

etc.

I checked out the website: www.gravywheels.net and found that he builds

wheels using King, Paul, philwood, mavic, ritchey, campy, hugi/dt swiss,

shimano, sram, sun and wtb components. You get to chose the hub, rim,

lacing preference, hole preference etc. Since he is known as the master

wheel builder, you are assured the perfect wheel.



Looks like he builds single speed, mtb, road, tri, tandem, cross and

bmx wheels.

Website is still in need of a little work, but concept is there.
