completely repaint the track and we need all the help we can get.

Alpenrose Velodrome clean up 4/23



The annual clean up day for the velodrome will be Saturday 4/23.

Hopefully

we will have dry weather that day. The plan is to repaint the entire

surface. We will also paint other things that need paint, pull weeds,

put

up sponsor signs, move equipment out of storage and get ready for the

start

of racing the following week. Before that date we will need a few

people to

help with patching the holes in the surface and to power wash portions

of

the track. If you can help with that let me know.



If you haven't been to one of these seasons before you should go. In

the

past we have had lots of people show up and hopefully this year will be

the

same. Lots of people make the work go quickly. In many was it is a lot

like a barn raising. It is very satisfying to see people giving back to

the

bike racing community and to see the velodrome look good.



We will plan to start at 9:00 AM and stay until we get done. Don't

worry if

you can't come at the start or stay until the end. Any time that you

can

contribute is appreciated. Wear clothing appropriate for yard work or

painting.



As in the past, lunch will be provided.
