I wish to thank all who have supported the Oregon Bicycle Racing
Regional
Development Camp. Certainly the Portland Oregon Sports Authority
got the ball
rolling with a core donation for the Development Camp Fundraiser
Brunch at
the Velodrome on September 9th, 2000.
As I ran around with the call for support, Eugene people like Norm
Babcock,
the Wensels, Ronnie Vails, and Larry Smith all kindly came to my
aid.
The OBRA commitee gave a sizable donation, and many took an
interest in the
"Underwrite a kid to Camp program."
Certainly the heros of the 11th hour have been Darell Provencer and
the Rose
City Wheelmen. They heve given their own dollars and rallied all
OBRA to the
cause.
Now Russ Humberston and the Cross Crusade have stepped up. Now all
the
coaches who have volunteered to do it for free anyway, are going to
get paid.
On behalf of the kids of b.i.k.e. I want to say, Thank You Oregon,
Thank You Very Much. I am honored and moved by your support.
And by the Way, the Oprah Show will be filming at the camp.
