So, If I go down there and complain about cars on the road passing too close to me, will the county ban cars using that road??

I'm just being devils advocate, and I understand there is pressure being put on Matt, so I do say riders should keep to the right as much as possible.

I hate that I have to do this, but there are going to be some changes to the

time trials starting this week. I have received many complaints through

Deschutes County and the Sheriffs office about riders in the TT. The compaints

basically say that some riders have no regard for auto traffic on the road. All

of you are aware that this is not a closed course. We do not have special rules

that say we own the road during the race. I realize that many of you are staying

on the shoulder or as close to it as you can. And to you I say thank you.

So there are threats that the TT's will be shut down because of how the racers

are acting. It is because of this that I have to become the bad guy. If I get

any feedback saying that you were out in the middle of the road and getting in

the way of passing vehicles, I will disqualify you from the race, and you will

not be welcome back to the Bend Time Trial Series.

On that note, I ask that if you see any riders disrupting traffic, please report

them to me. I know that none of you want to turn in your fellow racers, but if

you don't, it is very possible noone will be racing in the TT's.

I'm sorry that I had to share this information, but it has to be done. So spread

the word.

On a higher note, the start times for April 20 have been updated. Please check

the link to see when you start and let me know if something needs to be changed.

Thanks, and I will see you tomorrow.
