If you're interested in Bike Fridays on Cycle Oregon, sleeping with the
enemy in Cuba, Biking the Highest Paved Road in the World, drafting
6-time RAAM champ Lon Haldeman, or even how to make neat films with a
jersey-pocket camera, read on ... otherwise, you know where that delete
key is ...

Jerry Norquist has kindly loaned me the Cycle Oregon HQ, 2125 N Flint
Ave., to show a 'mini film fest' on May 8, 3-6pm. All movies were shot
with a $200 Canon Digital Elph camera hanging from my neck and edited
with basic Apple movie software on a laptop - and the results are
'impressive', says John Schubert (Adventure Cycling), Fred Matheny
(RoadBikeRider.com), and Lon Haldeman (RAAM). Come to any items that
"turn your crank." Free, it's all for a good cause (fun), although a
donation to the Peruvian orphanage is very much appreciated. Bring your
own pop, RSVP appreciated.

3) 4pm: Handsomest Man in Cuba slideshow (around 40 minutes), Q&A. Save
yourself the airfare and a US government fine - this is no 'buena vista

4) 5pm: "PASS THE OXYGEN PLEASE: 16,000 Feet on a Friday: a 40 minute

5) 6.00pm: - we go get pizza and hang out!
There might be a BF social Ride (everyone invited) on that Sat/Sun too
if I can get someone local to help - I can't navigate my way out of a
Pringles tube ... watch for updates on http://www.bikefriday.com/events
PS: Hello to anyone who is going to be at Wordstock this weekend - I'll
be standing there at Willammette Writers with The Handsomest Man (I
wish) from 1-3pm Sat... come by and make me feel like John Grisham for
5 minutes!
