My goodness folks, has anybody got that big contract yet or are we still doing this for fun and fitness? If your not in the top 3 you don't make the podium. Unless I have a chance to win, I back off, call it a good time and roll for home unscathed. Just a thought.

Hmmmmmm 2 officals. 200+ riders. We should be thankful to see the top 15.
Are you honestly telling me that you have see your name associated with a
placing to tell that you're improving?
Thanks Candi.

This is a good point. Chopping results to 15 may actually cause MORE
problems as more people may be going nuts for that 15th spot. And many
people usually strive for breaking the top 20, instead of top 15. It's
kind of an American habit for us in any sporting event to break a top 20
position in something.
Still does not excuse people for not being smart at the finish.

I hate to see this, as it helps us newbie racers to know where we
placed. From 22nd to 17th counts when last year you were
40-something-th. If it saves crashes though, that is a good thing. I'm
not sure how it stops the 22nd place rider from crashing into the back
of the 21st rider while sprinting for 15th though..
It really sounds more like a problem that should be adressed to the
individual racer than a scoring change.

If
you wish to know your place and are not in the top 15, count.
