I have just been contacted by Marty Notstein's agent. He is interested in

attending the Alpenrose Challenge again this year and is looking for

sponsorship to do that. Is there anyone on this list that is interesting in

getting involved with this sponsorship? Marty is willing to do meetings,

classes, promotional items, etc. Let me know if you are interested in

seeing Marty here again, even if you are not able/interested in

participating with the sponsorship.

I just spoke with Marty's "people" and the latest word is that in addition

to all the events at the Alpenrose Challenge on Saturday and Sunday Marty

will be riding the Kilo TT on Friday evening. It is likely that he will set

a new record so if you like to see that sort of thing, plan on coming out.

Marty will be at the Bike n' Hike in Portland, 400 S.E. Grand Ave., from

about 3:00 PM Thursday, 7/26, to meet people and sign autograph, etc.

Please come out and thank him for coming to Portland.

I have been contacted by the firm that represents Marty Nothstein regarding

his potential participation at the Alpenrose Challenge. In addition to

attending the race, in exchange for an appearance fee, Marty could host a

clinic, do a motivational speech, autograph session, TV and print

interviews, do some advertisements, lead a ride, etc. The appearance fee is

higher than what we can include in the budget for our event. Is there anyone

on this list who would see this as a useful thing for their business? Let

me know and I can get you the particulars.
