Candi Murray
Wanted - OBRA Mountain Bike Representative
Job Description
Work with OBRA racers, promoters and staff to facilitate mountain bike
racing that is safe, fair and fun.
Duties include:
1.) Being available for communication with customers (racers, promoters
and OBRA staff) and answering questions about any OBRA ATB topic such as
number plates, race fees, race dates, regulations, series organization,
etc.
2.) Order number plates and facilitate the sale of ATB licenses at
events.
3.) Facilitate/conduct official training and assignment to working
events, as needed.
4.) Update OBRA website with weekly results and maintenance as well as
pre-season setup (info for each year, calendar/schedule, etc.) (May be
done by another volunteer.)
5.) Work on improvements/changes to rules, category structure and
series/individual event organization.
6.) Work with USAC as needed to facilitate improvements in our
relationship with the Empire.
7.) ATB BAR totals. (Candi currently does this.)
8.) If you wish, you can become trained as a mountain bike official and
handle protests and the like. If not, Candi or I can handle these
issues as they arise.
The job is very freeform. You are basically going to be the "go to guy"
for ATB racing in Oregon. All things the OBRA administrator (Candi)
doesn't want to deal with for ATB belong to you.
Candi handles mailing of plates and license sales online and mail-in,
but you will handle plate/license sales at individual events.
If you are even remotely interested in doing this, or sharing some of
the work load, let me know. I am up for a job share or total hand-off.
Regards, Jim Fischer
