Good Morning Fellow Competitors!
Just a reminder that registration for the 2005 Mt. Hood Cycling Classic closes this Wednesday. If you want to race in this years event get em in now. CAT 3 men and Pro 1-2 men our waiting lists are really full and barring a major pile up at a local race before our event there will not be an oppotunity to get in. Sorry. Couple of things to note.
* CAT 3/4 Women you will be racing and we now have 30 riders registered as of today!
* A copy of the race bible will be posted on the Mt. Hood website tomorrow. Please feel free to use it for referencing but to use the official race bible in your packets during the race.
* Packet pick up for eveyone will be from 2-6 p.m. Thursday June 2nd at Full Sail Brewing. Directions will be in the race bible on how to get there and look for signs. Please remeber that packet pick up closes for each category one hour prior to the start of the first rider. For example Pro 1-2 men's packet pickup closes at 4:00. CAT 3/4 women and CAT 4 men you may pick up your packets on Thursday or on Friday from 8-9:00 a.m. at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort.
* There will be a team managers meeting at the Best Western Hood River Inn for all Pro 1-2 men and women's teams at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
* There is a kids "stage" race on Saturday June 4th with registration starting at 3:00 p.m. and racing beging at 4! One of the nations premier women's pro teams Ford-Basis will be in helping with the event. Free t-shirt, water bottle, participation ribbons to all kids and prizes to those kids that place. To preregister email Julie Wilson at jul-@discoverbicycles.com
* Those of you who are not racing but still want to catch the action be sure and come on in to downtown Hood River to see the crit on Saturday evening from 5-8:30. You can watch some of the best riders around take on one of the gnarliest crit courses around. Plus there will be an expo, prizes and giveaways, music concessions and some really hot racing.
Thanks everyone for your interest in the 2005 Mt. Hood Cycling Classic. I hope to see you next week!
Sincerely,
Chad Sperry
